ISLAMABAD: The Session Court in Islamabad witnessed a tense exchange between the court and the counsel in the fraud case against Fawad Chaudhary.

The proceedings began with Fawad Chaudhary being notably absent from the courtroom. Fawad’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhary, along with a team of legal representatives, was present to represent the accused.

During the hearing, lawyer Faisal Chaudhary informed the court that Fawad Chaudhary was not being brought to court for the proceedings. This revelation prompted Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mahmud to issue a stern warning that if Fawad Chowdhury is not produced, an official order would be made.

“Fawad Chaudhary is currently in the custody of the court on judicial remand,” stated advocate Nayab Hassan, adding, “If he is not brought to court, it would be deemed illegal.”

Lawyer Nayab Hassan emphasised the importance of Fawad Chaudhary’s presence in court and urged compliance with legal procedures. “If Fawad Chaudhary is not presented before the court, it will be considered a violation of legal norms,” Hassan asserted.

In response to the situation, Judge Yasir Mahmud allowed a brief grace period, stating, “We will wait for some time. If you don’t present Fawad Chowdhury, the court will issue the necessary orders.”
