ISLAMABAD: In a worrisome incident, Usman Maqbool, an online taxi driver, has reportedly disappeared from the federal capital, prompting his father to file a case of abduction.

The distressed father registered the case at the I-9 police station regarding his son’s disappearance.

According to the FIR filed, Usman Maqbool, a married father of three, took a ride from Faizabad to Gujar Khan, a common route for the online taxi driver who frequently ventures into outer cities.

The father emphasized that Usman is known for maintaining regular contact with his family during his trips.

Expressing deep concern, the father noted that Usman’s phone has remained consistently switched off—a departure from his usual practice of keeping the line open. The worried father strongly believes that his son has been abducted and has appealed to the police for swift intervention in locating him.

A police spokesperson confirmed the registration of an abduction case at the I-9 police station, assuring that all necessary legal procedures are being diligently carried out.
