ISLAMABAD: A case has been registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman’s lawyer, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, at the Secretariat police station for alleged assault and hurling death threats at a citizen.
The complainant has also identified two individuals as Marwat’s associates who were allegedly involved in the incident.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the citizen claimed that Sher Afzal Marwat attempted to run him over with his vehicle and subjected him to verbal abuse and physical assault outside the Supreme Court.
The victim has requested stern legal action against the accused, seeking justice for the traumatic ordeal.
This is not the first time Sher Afzal Khan Marwat has made headlines for his aggressive behavior.
The latest video of the altercation shows Marwat allegedly striking a citizen who was already involved in a brawl with another individual.
Fortunately, a quick-thinking policeman intervened to defuse the situation and calm the citizen, who had reportedly hurled abuses at Marwat. In his defense, the PTI lawyer claimed that the citizen had personally attacked him without any apparent reason or provocation, and he was unaware of the individual’s identity.
Last month, Marwat engaged in a heated exchange with PML-N leader Dr. Afnanullah Khan, resulting in a physical confrontation during a televised program.
