120 KP lady teachers suspended for skipping polling training


PESHAWAR: Over 120 female teachers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been suspended for failing to participate in training sessions for the upcoming general elections, as reported on Thursday.

A total of 133,048 presiding and senior assistant presiding officers were undergoing training at 125 centers across the province, with 27,600 teachers having completed their training.

In response to these reports, the Provincial Election Commission has instructed authorities to take action against those who were absent.

The women’s education department in Kurram district issued a notification, announcing the suspension of 97 female teachers for their non-participation in the training sessions.

Similarly, 26 female teachers from Peshawar city, who were absent from the sessions, have been served notices. The competent authority has given them three days to submit their replies.
