Weekly inflation soars by 0.69 per cent

ISLAMABAD: With the surge in prices of essential commodities the weekly inflation rate has climbed by 0.69 per cent, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

According to the latest weekly inflation data released by the bureau, a continuous raise in prices of 29 essential commodities including red chilies, milk powder, garlic, chicken, salt, eggs and sugar has been observed.

The weekly inflation has gone up by 0.69 per cent while on an annual basis the inflation rate has climbed to 30.82 per cent, according to the Bureau.

According to the Bureau, during the same period, there has been a decline in the prices of 5 commodities while prices remained stable for 17 basic goods.
