Tuesday’s trading follows Monday’s movements

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its losing streak from yesterday, and slipped down by 44 points by the midday today.

Opening at 46,393.67 points, the index posted a noticeable gain to 46,503.82 points earlier in the day. However, part of these gains eroded by the afternoon when the benchmark KSE-100 index touched the lowest of the morning at 46,307.16 points. By the afternoon the benchmark KSE-100 index was seen hovering at 46,350.23 points.

US dollar drops below 290

During the past week, the stock market saw mixed results with minor gains exceeding minor losses. The second halves of the trading days saw the KSE-100 in recovery for the most days of the outgoing week.

On Monday, the index had posted the same movement, whereby it posted minor gains right after starting trading but quickly losing out the gains and hovering below opening the opening stage.
