Pakistani rupee further appreciates against US dollar

KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee has continued its remarkable upward trajectory against US dollar, marking its 11th consecutive session of appreciation in the interbank market.

The gap between the interbank rate and the dollar’s value has further narrowed as the US dollar depreciated by Rs1.2 paisas settling at 293.88.

Sedately, Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a remarkable uptick on Tuesday, gaining 107 points to close at 45,910 points.

Wednesday morning saw the benchmark KSE-100 index climbing up to 46,035.09 points before losing some of those gains to hover at 45,869.14 points by the afternoon.
