PESHAWAR: Consensus has reached on appointment of Justice (R) Arshad Hussain as the new caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Arshad Hussain Shah was serving as Minister for Law and Auqaf and Human Rights in the cabinet of late Azam Khan. He has also served as Chief Judge of the Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit-Baltistan from 2019 to 2022. Justice Arshad has served as justice of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) as well.
In the wake of the unfortunate demise of the caretaker chief minister of KP Azam Khan, former CM Mehmood Khan and opposition leader Akram Khan Durrani converged at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar to deliberate on the appointment of a new caretaker chief minister.
